Objective:
This method aims to determine the pullout strength of hardened concrete.
Procedure:
The strength is assessed by measuring the force necessary to extract a metal insert along with the concrete fragment it's embedded in from a concrete sample or structure
Application:
The insert can either be placed during the pouring of fresh concrete or installed into already hardened concrete.
Limitations:
This method specifically focuses on pullout strength and does not include statistical procedures for estimating other strength properties.
